I have never heard of China cancelling the celebration of the Chinese new Year, but this year they have because of the fear of the CoronaVirus. I pray those who are sick recover quickly and this too passes.
This new year is called the year of the White Metal Rat. Chinese new year starts on the first new moon of the year.
